Costrac – Server Edition

This is the most comprehensive edition of Costrac designed for the most demanding projects where flexibility is crucial.  The Server Edition is installed in your own environment and you control the application and the data completely.



Licensing model

Costrac Server Edition is available as a server licence which allows you to install the software on premise on your own servers.  You retain full access to the database and are able to integrate Costrac into your existing financial, project management and other systems.

The server edition is sold as a Enterprise licence which includes 5 full user licences and 5 TARR (Timesheets, Approvals, Reports and Reader) licences for 12 months.  There is an annual software maintenance fee.  You can purchase additional user licences at any stage.

System Requirements – Server Version

Web server (if dedicated):

  • Microsoft ASP.NET Framework 4.5
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services 6 or 7 or higher
  • At least 4GB RAM
  • At least 2Ghz quad core CPU

Database server (if dedicated):

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014
  • At least 8GB RAM
  • At least 2Ghz quad core CPU


Please note:

  • The web and database server could be the same physical machine
  • Costrac does operate successfully in a virtualized environment
  • In order to use the analytical tools, Microsoft Excel 2007 or higher should be used
  • A discussion will be held with the client to size the equipment/virtual environment correctly
  • From a Level 3 support perspective, remote access is a requirement but isn’t compulsory. (All necessary Non Disclosures, VPN – IT Policy conformance will be discussed and agreed upon should parties agree)
